storage life
Unlimited storage life if stored in a dry environment.
Coverage25 kg of clay fine-finish plaster deliver 16.6 litres of rendering mortar. This quantity is sufficient for an area of approximately 5.5 m² with a layer thickness of 3 mm.
ProcessingAdd approx. 5.6 litres of water to 25 kg of plaster powder. The subgrade must be clean, free from dust and film-generating separating agents, and the surface has to be sufficiently coarse to allow the mechanical adhesion of the clay plaster. Treat surfaces that are not uniform, excessively smooth or critical with WEM primer prior to plastering. Previous moistening is not required. Either throw or trowel the rendering mortar onto the wall surface manually or use a plaster-throwing machine. The maximum plastering thickness is 5 mm per layer. Depending on the processing time, you can apply different textures to the surface. As a rule, the texture is finer, the later you score or treat the plaster surface with a sponge. A smooth surface is obtained by post treatment with a smoothing trowel.
Processing time/
drying
The mixed material remains workable for several days if it is covered properly. When reusing it, you might be required to add some more water.
Painting/other
coating
Do not apply any paint or other coating before the mortar layers have dried thoroughly. We recommend using diffusible coating materials that support the favourable properties of the clay plaster.

Apply finish coats in accordance with the clay building rules (Lehmbau-Regeln (3.9)) of the German Association for Building with Earth DVL (Dachverband Lehm e.V.)
